Traffic Volume On Plus Highway Expected To Rise This Evening

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 2 (Bernama) -- The number of vehicles on major highways is expected to rise in the afternoon as people begin to return to their respective destinations after the public holiday in conjunction with the new year, according to the Projek Lebuhraya Utara-Selatan Bhd Traffic Control Centre.

A spokesman of the control centre told Bernama that as at noon, the flow of traffic on all the major highways was smooth in both directions especially those routes leading to the federal capital.

A spokesman from the Malaysian Highway Authority (MHA) also told Bernama that no congestion was reported on the major highways including the East Coast Highway 1 and 2.
